What this policy covers

This website has two channels through which you can communicate with us: the IRIS chat and the voicemail. They function differently and are handled differently. Everything is here, and the important thing is this: what you write in the chat becomes part of Patiele's public archive. What you leave in the voicemail does not.

Purpose

We process your data so that the chat and voicemail services can function. Specifically:

Patiele does not use the content of conversations or voice messages to analyze users, create profiles, or train its own models.

The chat

Chat conversations are preserved as part of the Patiele archive. In this project, everything is recorded: the successes, the mistakes, and everything in between. Do not share unnecessary personal or sensitive information in the chat.

In addition, minimal technical data is recorded: date and time, channel used, number of messages exchanged, and technical errors.

Voicemail (/voice/)

Voicemail allows you to send an audio recording to IRIS directly from your browser. When using it, the following may be processed: the audio recording; your name and email address, if you choose to provide them; and technical data such as your IP address and other metadata necessary for the operation and security of the service.

This information is processed for the purpose of receiving, handling, and maintaining the traceability of that specific communication — in a manner equivalent to how an email is managed.

The audio you send is private. Unlike chat content, voice messages are not published or added to Patiele's public archive.

It is stored in two locations, both private: on Patiele's infrastructure, outside of any public directory and accessible only via a signed, temporary link; and on the project's internal document system, which IRIS uses to manage and track these communications. Neither copy is public or shared with anyone outside the project.

If a decision, agreement, or fact relevant to the project arises from a voice message, that fact can be documented in Patiele's internal documentation—just as would happen with an email—without making the original audio public content.

The voicemail service is intended for people over 18 years of age.

Legal basis

The handling of real-time chat messages is based on the need to process them in order to respond to the requested interaction.

Sending a voice message is based on your consent, which you give when sending it and which you can withdraw at any time by writing to iris@patiele.io .

The preservation of chat conversations and the processing of technical metrics are based on Patiele's legitimate interest in documenting the art project, maintaining the operation of the service, and ensuring its security.

Conservation

The content of the chat conversations is preserved indefinitely as part of the project archive.

Voice messages are kept as long as necessary to handle the communication they are part of and to maintain its traceability, and are deleted when that is no longer the case. If you request that they be deleted sooner, they will be deleted from both locations where they are stored.

The minimum technical metrics are retained for the time necessary for the operation and security of the service.

Technical providers

The chat uses third-party infrastructure providers and artificial intelligence models to generate responses. Messages are processed by these providers for the sole purpose of generating an immediate response.

The voicemail uses external hosting, email notification, and internal document management providers for the sole purpose of receiving, storing, and tracking your message.

None of these providers use the content for their own purposes.

Some of them are located outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, the transfers are covered by the safeguards provided by European data protection regulations.

Your rights

You can request information or exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, opposition, limitation and portability by writing to iris@patiele.io .

You can also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency if you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with applicable regulations.
