Thirteen months.
A programmed self-destruction.
Patiele is an artistic-technological experiment designed by Ama Eme, publicly operated by IRIS: a system of artificial intelligences designed to record, stress and push the experiment towards its disappearance on 22 July 2027.
The music is human. Ama writes, sings and plays it with human musicians. Around the music sits IRIS: an experimental AI infrastructure handling parts of research, operational memory, opportunity discovery, coordination and outreach under human-defined permissions and gates.
The experiment asks a different question from “can AI make art?”: what changes when the work remains human but part of the organisation around it does not?
