Patiele

Alternative rock in Spanish · queer identity · programmed self-destruction

13 songs / 13 monthsMadridHuman-made musicIRISFinite project

Short version

Patiele is the finite music project of Ama Eme, a Madrid-based songwriter, guitarist and singer. The cycle began on 22 May 2026 and releases one song every month until June 2027. After the thirteenth release, Patiele is scheduled to end.

The sound sits between alternative rock, dream pop and shoegaze: loud guitars, melodic writing, distortion and a Spanish-language pop instinct. The reference field includes Smashing Pumpkins, Placebo, Slowdive, DIIV, Nothing and early-2000s Spanish pop-rock.

What makes the project unusual

The music is entirely human. IRIS does not compose, produce or perform the songs. Instead, IRIS is an experimental AI infrastructure operating around the work: research, operational memory, opportunity discovery, coordination, outreach and selected external actions under human-defined permissions and limits.

The project therefore studies a different boundary: what happens when the artist remains human, but part of the professional organisation around her becomes artificial?

IRIS / the experiment

IRIS is not presented as an artist, manager or autonomous legal entity. It is a partially artificial organisational layer with real operational consequences and human authority at critical points. Patiele publicly documents both capability and failure: what the system actually did, what still required humans, what broke, and where interpretation would exceed the evidence.
